Zail
Zail은 9개의 모듈로 이루어져 있으며, 용도에 맞춰 조립하여 사용할 수 있는 조립형 모듈 홀더입니다.
저는 Zail을 처음 구상할때 무언가를 홀딩한 다는 것은 그 무언가의 입장에서 볼때 마치 감옥이라고 느꼈습니다.
그런면에서 볼 때, 스테이셔너리의 감옥이면서 해체가 가능하니 자유라는 양면성도 갖게 됩니다.
용도에 따라서 3가지의 기본 형태로 패키징되어 있으며, 필요에 따라서 다양한 형태로 조립이 가능합니다.
‘Zail’ is module holder. You can assemble zail for holder as a use or taste.
There are 9 modules and These can be holder or tray. I started zail from something holding.
Holding means that lock something as a jail. So I named zail from jail.
How to make zail is, firstly, I printed various size module and study about thickness, holding power and structure.
Secondly, I made a silicone mold that can copy zail. Finaly, I designed package small, medium and large.

보통 아트토이는 테이블이나 선반에 관상용으로 놓습니다만
멜랑꼴리는 용도가 있는 아트토이입니다. 각자가 링 스탠드, 카드 스탠드, 펜 스탠드, 마그넷 스탠드 역할을 합니다. 억울한 모습을 한 캐릭터들에게 펑키한 요소를 가미하여 지루한 사무공간에 위트를 불어넣습니다. (피식)
Existing art toys were just for ornamental use to see on the table of the rack. Melanccoly is far away from its traditional ornaments. It has great functions and aesthetics for tableware & art toy. Design concept was to express depression with funky points. They play roles of stands for rings, pens, cards, magnet each.
