스무살 무렵에 ‘노르웨이의 숲’을 읽고 감명을 받아 이 작가 ‘무라카미 하루키’의 책의 모두 읽어 봐야겠다고 생각했었습니다. 이후 저는 그의 책들을 거의 빠짐없이 읽어왔습니다. 어떤 책은 여러번 읽으면서 소설에서 느껴지는 이미지들이 생기기 시작했고 그것들을 다듬어 리커버 디자인을 하였습니다. 이것은 무라카미상의 팬으로서 그리고 디자이너로서 한 행동이었습니다.

5 years ago, I read a novel Norwegian Wood. I was very inspired from the story. After that time, I read almost books of Haruki murakami. I wanted to design his book cover as a fan and designer. I focused on simple and metaphor to design the cover.

1. Norwegian Wood

Maybe, This title was named 'Norwegian Wood' after beatles's song. A sense of loss reminds me of freezing cold winter in this story. I imagined about wandering in the snow covered with woods.}

2. 1Q84
_{아오마메는 자신의 세계에 달이 두개가 뜨자 일기장에 1984년을 1Q84년이라 고쳐적었다. 내게는 그것이 이 소설의 시작이자 끝이라 느껴졌다.  
Aomame wrote down this year is not 1984 but 1Q84 because two moons was floating. Maybe, she would like to make a division two world by doing like that. I was inspired that scene. Therefore, I design that kind of the feeling.}

3. Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki And His Years Of Pilgrimage
_{이름에 색깔이 들어가는 친구들 사이에서 색채가 없는 다자키 쓰쿠루는 진실을 향해 순례를 떠난다. 내게는 그것이 다자키가 무지개를 건너가는 모습으로 느껴졌다.
Tsukuru tazaki got the gate from friends who has color in the name unilaterally. A few years later, he made to pilgrimage for the truth. I imagined about Tsukuru moved away from colorful rainbow like the friends.}

4. DANCE DANCE DANCE
_{“춤춰라! 아무것도 생각하지말고, 춤춰라! 더 환상적으로” 그 모습이 마치 종이 인형이 바람에 나부끼는 것으로 보였다.
The theme of is that “Dance! Don't think about anything, Dance! more fantastic.” I imagined about the fluttering paper dolls. It looks like a dancing. And I thought that dancing is seem to correlate chaos in the story.}
